Pre-Alloyed Brass Powder

Description


This series of products consists of alloy powders made from Cu and Zn, which are commonly composed of CuZn10, CuZn20, and CuZn30, depending on the composition and production processes. The high solubility of Zn in Cu forms an α solid solution. The grain growth at the final stage of solid-state sintering of the single-phase powder mainly depends on the reaction between pores and grain boundaries. A certain shape and quantity of pores can pin the grain boundaries, making them less mobile and inhibiting grain growth.


The higher surface energy of the powder and the distortion energy of the pressed powder particles serve as intrinsic driving forces for promoting powder compact sintering, achieving a thermodynamically lower free energy and a more stable state.


The ABR series products provide lead-free, environmentally friendly brass powder, which is primarily used in the powder metallurgy structural parts, friction brake materials, and metal injection molding (MIM) industries.
