This series of products is an alloy powder composed of Cu and P. The P element forms low-melting-point eutectics with Cu, significantly reducing its melting point and providing characteristics such as low melting point, good fluidity, and excellent thermal and electrical conductivity, ensuring safety while maintaining high fatigue resistance. In bronze-based oil-bearing bearings, the presence of P directly influences the increase of the liquid phase within the sample, promotes metallurgical bonding between particles, enhances sintered density, and increases the sample's open-loop strength. The small amount of P that forms Cu₃P plays a role in dispersion strengthening, effectively improving the material's hardness, reducing wear, and stabilizing the friction coefficient.
The CuP series products exhibit higher corrosion resistance and do not produce sparks upon impact. They are suitable for medium-speed, heavy-load bearings and feature automatic self-alignment, insensitivity to misalignment, uniform load-bearing capabilities, and the ability to handle radial loads without maintenance due to self-lubrication. These products are widely used in powder metallurgy, brazing of copper heat exchangers, organic silicon monomer synthesis, sintered diamond tool additives, and friction materials.
The liquid phase of Cu₃P also aids in activating the sintering process, improving the sintering effect, and enhancing the material's hardness.
For bearings with a density of 6.8–7.8 g/cm³, subjected to high-temperature sintering for 55 minutes with a dewaxing time of 30 minutes:
When the sintering temperature is 650°C and the mass fraction of P is 0.7, the bronze-based oil-bearing bearing samples exhibit optimal comprehensive performance, with open-loop strength and oil content at 24 MPa and 13.52%, respectively. The friction coefficient remains stable between 0.025 and 0.030, with uniform diffusion of all component elements, and a stable, even lubricating film during the friction process.
